– 1 cup oats
– 1/2 cup semolina
– A pinch of Asafoetida
– 1 cup yogurt
– 1 tsp cumin seeds
– 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
– a pinch of sodaWater (as per need)
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 1 tomato, sliced
– 1 medium capsicum
– 1/2 tsp green chillies
Salt as per taste
– 2T spun extra virgin olive oil
– 3/4 tsp ginger, finely chopped
How to make Oats Uttapam
1. Grind the oats and semolina properly in the mixture and add asafoetida.
2. Now add curd, cumin, red chili powder, soda, ginger and water as per need and prepare a thick batter.
3. Keep this batter on the side for 10 minutes.
4. Add onion, tomato, green chilli and salt to it.
5. Mix well.
6. Heat a non stick pan and apply some oil on it, now put a little batter and spread it. When it turns golden brown, flip the uttapam and cook it from the other side as well.
7. Garnish with green coriander and serve it with coconut chutney.
